STR is a pioneer in development and manufacture of Photocap® Solar Cell Encapsulants for use in crystalline and thin-film modules. The company produces formulations tailored to many processes, including Ultra Fast Cure, UL Certified Fast Cure and Standard Cure EVA’s as well as new thin-film specific encapsulants (non-EVA). STR’s UF product line maintains their dimensional stability and are formulated to be non-shrinking during lamination. Major module manufacturers worldwide have standardized on STR’s EVA, which has been in the field for over 30 years. Most Photocap® products are available pre-laminated to other materials such as non-woven fiberglass scrim, TPE, TPT, ETFE. The company has encapsulant manufacturing plants at 5 locations– 3 in USA, 1 in Spain and 1 in Malaysia. STR is passionately committed to continue the scientific advancement of PV encapsulants, and the efficient and timely delivery of these products to its global customer base.
